Why can't I see Marketplace on my Facebook app? Not seeing the Facebook marketplace is a problem that is mostly faced by new Facebook users as Facebook only allows old and trusted users to access the marketplace to avoid scams regarding buying and selling. Facebook also doesn't allow users under the age of 18 to access the marketplace as they are not mature enough to perform buying and selling. So if you are not seeing the Facebook marketplace make sure that your account is not a new one and your age is above 18 years. These two were the most common reasons why the Facebook marketplace is unavailable to you. some other reasons include:.

Marketplace is unavailable in your region: 

Although Facebook introduced a marketplace in 2016 it still doesn't support some regions, so if your region is set to a country that is not supported by Facebook it could be another reason why you can't see marketplace on the Facebook app.

Your device doesn't support the marketplace:

Using an outdated device that doesn't support the marketplace could be another reason.

Your access is blocked by Facebook:

Sometimes Facebook blocks access to the marketplace due to policy violations. so if you have violated any policy recently or someone has reported you on marketplace or you have been using marketplace in a way that Facebook doesn't allow, Facebook might have blocked your access to the marketplace.

How do I get the Marketplace icon on my Facebook app (  Steps )

1:Reinstall Facebook:

The first step here is to uninstall and reinstall the Facebook application as it might have stored some junk files which may cause the unavailability of the marketplace to you. If your Facebook app is outdated and a new update is available, update your application as it may solve the issue.

To Install Facebook:

1. Go over to the play store or Microsoft  store ( for windows )
2. Search for Facebook
3. See if any update is available if not, uninstall and reinstall the application

2:Update Your Age

The most common reason why you don't see the marketplace icon is that your age is below 18 and Facebook doesn't allow users below 18 to access the marketplace so the first step here is to update your age ( date of birth ) as shown here:

To Update Your Age:

1. Go over to account center
2. Click personal details
3. You can see the date of birth appear, click and change it

After updating your age log out from Facebook and log in again and you will see the marketplace option appear.

3:Update your region:

If the above solution doesn't help you might consider updating your country as Facebook is available in only selected countries. You can update your country from your profile section as shown here:

To Update Your Region:

1. Go over to your profile section
2. Click "About"
3. Here you can see the option to change your current city, click and update it

After updating your country you can close and reopen Facebook and marketplace will appear if it doesn't you can log out from Facebook and log in again.

4:Follow Facebook policies:

If in case Facebook has blocked your access to the marketplace due to policy violations then the only way to use the marketplace is to follow the policies of Facebook and not spam again. use your account daily, engage in posts do likes and comments, and Facebook will remove all restrictions from your account as soon as you will start following the guidelines. Once the restrictions from your account are removed you will find the marketplace icon appear in your account again.

5: Use Facebook on browser:

by using the steps mentioned above you will get the marketplace icon on your Facebook app but for some reason, if none of the steps worked for you the only method left here is to use Facebook on a browser. Facebook also allows users to use Facebook on a browser. which is another option available to you to use if you are not getting the marketplace icon on your Facebook app. You can also access Marketplace directly from the web.
